I’m probably being a little bit presumptuous calling this biker chic, but I really don’t know what else would describe it. I wore this little outfit, along with my wax jacket (it was cold!!!!) and ankle boots, on a family trip out to Bath. It’s a shame that it was so cold as I felt incredibly chic wearing this. It just goes to show that fashion and clothes really do have the power to alter your mood. The very slinkiness of the dress and leggings made me feel like all my Christmas weight had disappeared overnight.
The dress was one of my finds from the BS8 lock in I went to back in November (here). I adore it though I’m not impressed that the tartan pattern has rubbed off under my arms. It’s not noticeable when I’m wearing it but after only three outings, I had assumed it would fare a little better. The jacket was part of the outfit I bought for graduate fairs back in 2013 and I think it toughens up the outfit that touch more. It’s a sleeker alternative to my beloved denim jacket and it’s totally different in shape to anything else I own. All I need is for the weather to warm up so I can wear it without having to layer another coat over the top.
On a side note, what do you think of my hair? Believe it or not, the colour was originally chocolate truffle. I guess I’m just meant to be a redhead. Anyway, let me know what you think of today’s outfit. Is it too dark or are you a fan of black too?
One person once said “I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color.”
I couldn’t agree more. How about you?
