So why does this particular nut spread make me so happy that I eat it at the rate I used to eat Nutella, though I haven’t yet eaten a whole pot in one sitting. It could be the triple nut combo of sweet cashews, caramel-ly pecans and yummy hazelnuts. They are my three favourite nuts and the basis for two of my favourite spreads from Deliciously Ella (hazelnut and cacao spread and vanilla and cashew butter). Or it could be the combination of maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla and ginger that gives it the spicy sweetness that reminds me so much of Christmas gingerbread.
Personally, I think spiced triple nut spread tastes so great because it genuinely is that great. I know that almond butter did become rather trendy back in 2015, though it has escaped being “hipster-fided” to the extent of avocados. But if roasting off a tray of nuts and blitzing them with some spices and maple syrup creates something this yummy, I will most definitely give it a go.
The other amazing thing about my spiced triple nut spread, aside from it tasting amazing, is how easy it is to create. In fact, I think it’s so easy that I have created a new recipe card so that you can have a go at creating it yourself. All you need is a roasting tray, an oven and a food processor. Trust me, nut butters and spreads are the easiest to make. Soon it’s all you will want on your toast.*
