Christmas Party Number 1: The Pub Dinner

Sorry it’s day late but here is this week’s outfit post. Is it excuse enough if I say I was late due to a friend’s birthday drinks turning into a school reunion? Oh my days, it was so strange seeing some people again after six years! Anyway, I digress. It’s the clothes you want to hear about so here we go…
I really had no idea what I was going to wear so ended up playing it extremely safe. I picked my, extremely old and faithful, black rollneck jumper dress and paired it with blue tights and a belt to match. My trusty ankle boots were ideal and I went for a chunky cardigan and my blue pashmina (here previously) to complete the look. I may have not been entirely modest as my dress has shrunk a little more than I expected so tugging did have to happen throughout the night. Next time, providing I remember, it’ll be leggings all the way.

Dress: Gift || Belt: New Look || Tights: Can’t remember || Cardigan: Butterfly || Scarf: Yves Rocher || Boots: Brantano

The meal itself was fantastic. Then again, if you put a bunch of people who are passionate about their interests, slightly eccentric and spend most of their time serving the public, it is going to be an interesting night. And so it was. I don’t think I have laughed so hard in a good while.

Have your Christmas festivities begun yet? How do you dress for the party season? You know I love to be nosey!
